Share the excitement of what God is opening up in Uganda

In Feb. of 2014, World Embrace was granted international NGO status by the Ugandan government to be able to conduct ministry activities in the nation. Here is a brief overview from Reynold and Kathy Mainse of some of the things that happened on that trip.

In 2007 and again in 2008 World Embrace announced the call to assemble the nations, the generations and the denominations in a worship celebration called Heaven’s Rehearsal.  These gatherings were held in Toronto, Canada, the world’s most multicultural city, with over 40,000 believers taking part.  Based upon Revelation 7:9-10, these two events served as a prophetic picture of the Body of Christ brought together from every tribe, every nation, every people, every language and all major denominations to lift up the name of Jesus alone.  It also focused on building relationships within the Body of Christ as we moved from strangers to friends and from friends to family.
Heaven’s Rehearsal was captured on DVD and sent around the globe where it prompted Christian leaders to pray for a similar gathering in their own nations. One such place was northern Uganda where several leaders invited the World Embrace founders, Reynold and Kathy Mainse, to come and share the vision of World Embrace at a conference attended by 230 Christian leaders in April 2009.
In the fall of 2009, five northern Ugandan leaders were elected to form the Heaven’s Rehearsal Uganda Committee.  In March of 2012 this group, which included different people groups and denominations, requested the preparation of a life study which could be used to make Heaven’s Rehearsal not just a powerful gathering, but also a transformational movement.  Its purpose would be to disciple the Body of Christ to live in love, to walk in unity and to serve the people of Uganda together.

On the eve of Uganda’s jubilee celebration of independence (October 8, 2012), President Yoweri Museveni openly repented of the sins of Uganda and dedicated his nation back to God.  You can also read the article here.
Since December 2012, Bishop Joshua Lwere, General Overseer of the National Fellowship of Born Again Pentecostal Churches of Uganda, (who wrote the prayer the President prayed) has been leading convocations of fasting, prayer and repentance as the Lord leads him around the nation.  Kathy Mainse and a team travelling with her met with Joshua in Feb. 2013 where he explained the strategy the Lord had given him to prepare the land for healing and revival.

Uganda and other African nations will keep going round and round with the same moral issues, difficulties and sufferings unless there is a shift in the hearts of leaders towards one another and God. This video shows what is causing this shift.
