World Embrace is a non-profit organization that works with leaders to develop unity within a region. Unity grows an environment of peace and stability, which fuels community development and poverty relief. Gulu Community Park in Uganda is our flagship project.

GULU COMMUNITY PARK
Giving youth a place to
PLAY, LEARN AND GROW
In 2020, World Embrace purchased 22 acres and broke ground on the Gulu Community Park. It will be the first large-scale community project of its kind in Northern Uganda and one of the biggest community hubs in East Africa.

This youth park will be a catalyst for change in Gulu.
It will be a neutral destination for organizations and churches to come together and positively impact the youth of Gulu.
WHO ARE WE?
Our Mission is to bring transformation through:
1. Spiritual unity: building a foundation of Biblical unity
and facilitating significant connections.
2. Physical unity: collaborating to implement humanitarian projects and key infrastructure.
We begin by forming relationships and teaching the philosophy of unity with local leadership. From this intangible work, tangible solutions flow. Over fifty percent of Gulu’s population is 15 years of age and under, yet they do not have adequate, safe playgrounds or community spaces. Because of this, we are building a Youth Park to create a safe environment for this vulnerable population to play, learn and grow.
With a foundation of Biblical unity, we collaborate with local leaders, churches and NGOs to create practical solutions for the community of Gulu, Uganda.
WHO DO WE HELP?
Gulu is the second-largest city in Uganda. There is a need for adequate public places for youth to play, learn and grow.
We are currently building the Gulu Youth Park so youth and children have a safe place to play. In the
future, we will be expanding beyond the park so we can respond to the evolving needs of the community.

We work directly with the Gulu community to ensure that each program is locally driven and able to meet their needs. We’re here to listen and to help them become a community that is united, first in spirit, then through tangible projects.
